14-Year-Old Boy Seriously Injured in Dog Attack in Potterne, Wiltshire

A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured in a dog attack in the quiet village of Potterne, Wiltshire, on the evening of Thursday, April 9. The incident occurred when two dogs reportedly escaped from their property in Ryeleaze and attacked the boy at around 9:30 pm.

Armed police quickly responded to the scene, managing to control and seize the two dogs. The animals were transported to secure kennels for safety. The boy was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, which are not believed to be life-changing.

Wiltshire Police confirmed that the dog owner has been identified and will be interviewed as part of the ongoing investigation. The breed of the dogs remains unknown at this time.
